Torus Version 32b is a focused addendum to Version 32, delivering targeted improvements in accessibility, mobile responsiveness, admin workflows, instructor analytics, and high-impact bug fixes.

While smaller in scope than a major release, 32b addresses meaningful refinements that improve everyday usability across the platform.

Mobile Responsiveness Improvements

Version 32b strengthens layout behavior across mobile devices and smaller screens. Improvements to spacing, stacking, and interaction patterns ensure that content remains readable and intuitive on phones and tablets.

Interactive elements have been optimized for touch, and zoom behavior has been improved to prevent overlapping or broken layouts at higher magnification levels. These refinements help ensure that Torus delivers a consistent experience regardless of device.

Accessibility Enhancements

This release includes a substantial set of accessibility improvements across student and instructor interfaces.

A comprehensive audit of semantic HTML structure ensures that headings, buttons, links, and other elements are accurately labeled for screen readers and assistive technologies. Keyboard navigation and focus order have been refined to create a more logical and predictable experience for users navigating without a mouse.

Color contrast has been improved across default interface components, and platform images now include clearer alt text. Zoom behavior has also been strengthened to support low-vision users by maintaining readability and layout integrity under magnification.

Accessibility remains an ongoing commitment. We welcome feedback from users who rely on assistive technologies as we continue to evolve the platform.

Admin UX Improvements

Version 32b completes several remaining Admin UX enhancements from the Version 32 roadmap.

Account management views have been reorganized for clarity, making it easier to view user roles, affiliations, enrolled sections, and authentication methods such as email, Google, or LTI login. These updates streamline support workflows and improve information visibility.

Content management views, including Browse All Projects, Products, and Course Sections, have been refined for better data presentation. Admins can now download CSV reports for products and course sections, supporting reporting and offline analysis.

Though often behind the scenes, these improvements help ensure smoother operations across the platform.

Instructor Analytics Refinements

This release also completes remaining Instructor Analytics updates introduced in Version 32.

Student and Assessment Score views have been visually refined for consistency and readability. Under Insights → Surveys, instructors can now more easily identify students who have not completed surveys and copy their email addresses directly for follow-up.

These refinements improve workflow efficiency and strengthen communication based on analytics insights.

Notable Bug Fixes

Version 32b includes over one hundred tickets addressing stability and usability. Among the most impactful:

  • Proficiency filter and sorting fixes in the Instructor interface, restoring accurate filtering and sorting in Student Reports.
  • Course survey copying fix, ensuring required surveys are duplicated correctly when copying courses.
  • Activity Bank learning objective and tag fix, preventing unintended removal of question metadata when learning objectives are edited.

These updates resolve high-friction issues and restore expected behavior in key instructional and authoring workflows.

Version 32b reflects our continued commitment to accessibility, usability, and reliability. For full technical details, please refer to the official release notes and our accessibility statement.
