Torus Version 32 delivers targeted improvements that reduce friction, increase clarity, and support more confident decision-making for both admins and instructors. This release focuses on two core areas: streamlining admin workflows at scale and strengthening instructor analytics to surface clearer, more actionable insights into student learning.

By addressing long-standing UX pain points and refining analytics and reporting tools, v.32 makes it easier to manage content, interpret data, and act with confidence.

Admin Interface UX Improvements

Version 32 introduces a focused set of Admin UX enhancements designed to make browsing, searching, and managing projects, products, and course sections faster and more intuitive. These improvements are informed by recurring support needs and feedback from admins working with large and complex datasets.

Admins now see more informative table views across Projects, Products, and Course Sections, with frequently used information displayed directly in tables to reduce unnecessary navigation. A new Tags column improves organization and scannability, making it easier to categorize and manage content at scale.

Search and filtering behavior has also been improved. Table searches now return results more reliably, and enhanced filter controls allow admins to quickly narrow results based on relevant attributes—especially helpful in environments with extensive content.

To support reporting and offline workflows, admins can now download table data as CSV files from Browse All views. This enables easier auditing, analysis, and sharing outside of Torus and is available consistently across all Browse All screens.

Together, these improvements reduce the cognitive load of routine admin tasks and make finding, filtering, and exporting information faster and more dependable.

Instructor Analytics Improvements

Torus v.32 also delivers a major set of enhancements to Instructor Analytics, making insights easier to access, interpret, and act on.

Instructors now have stronger filtering and exploration tools across Content Pages. These filters make it easier to identify patterns such as low scores, limited progress, or specific attempt behaviors, helping instructors focus quickly on areas that need attention.

Connections between learning objectives and activities have been strengthened. Learning Objectives views now surface low-proficiency sub-objectives more clearly, making it easier to pinpoint where students are struggling. Instructors can see how questions and activities map to objectives and sub-objectives, supporting more targeted instructional interventions. Expanded distribution visualizations provide additional context for interpreting learning proficiency patterns at a glance.

Analytics workflows are now more closely integrated with communication. Instructors can select and email specific students or groups directly from analytics views based on proficiency categories or module context, enabling timely, data-informed outreach without leaving the analytics environment.

Additional refinements improve overall usability. Altogether, these improvements turn Instructor Analytics into a more actionable workspace—helping instructors move from insight to intervention with less friction.

Bug Fixes and Backend Enhancements

In addition to feature enhancements, Torus v.32 includes a broad set of bug fixes and platform improvements that enhance stability, performance, and overall reliability. These updates address issues identified through internal testing and community feedback. For full technical details, please refer to the official release notes.

Looking Ahead

Version 32 reflects Torus’s continued investment in usability, clarity, and data-informed decision-making. By improving admin workflows and strengthening instructor analytics, this release supports more efficient course management and more responsive teaching.
