Register with a Course Key

Enter your Course Key. Then you'll sign in if you have an OLI account, or create a new one

Course Keys are used to register for an instructor led course. If you do not have a Course Key, please contact your instructor.

On Thursday June 8th 2023 we will be performing maintenance to the OLI production Front End, oli.cmu.edu. The necessary downtime for this purpose will start at 07:00 and take up to an hour. During this time, you will not be able to access the OLI production services. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • If your Course Key won't work ...

    • ... make sure the characters are correct: 0 vs O, I vs 1 vs l, etc.
    • ... ensure there are no preceding or trailing spaces.
    • ... if it still won't work, consult your instructor or your class materials.

  • If your teacher didn't give you a Course Key...

    • ... consult your teacher or class materials for your Course Key.
    • OR
    • ... confirm whether you're supposed to access OLI with a single sign-on link on your school's website (a learning management system such as Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, etc.).
