Adding Material to an Existing Course
There may be times when you would like to add content either from another content area, or content that was originally removed during your initial course build.
To do this, click the “Edit Course Structure” link on your Manage Course page. This takes you to the Course Builder – edit mode. Next, choose “Select Curriculum.”
This will bring you to the Arrange Content screen. This screen allows you to arrange the order of existing content as well as add content.
Note: Please remember, when editing an existing course, you will NOT have the option to delete content.
Click the “Click here to add content from another curriculum” link at the top of the page. This will bring you to list of available content areas.
This will take you to the “Select a Curriculum” screen. Select the content area that you want from the drop down menu. Then select the curriculum.
Once you have chosen your curriculum, you can choose what portions of that curriculum you would like to add to your course.
Click the green arrow next to the piece(s) of content that you would like to add. Then click the “Next” button on the bottom of the screen.
Note: Adding a unit of structure with nested modules, etc., will cause those nested elements to be added as well.
Your syllabus now contains both the original content and the added content. Arrange the order of each section by using the up and down green arrows.
You may repeat this process to add even more content as needed. Please note that no change will take effect until you click the “Update” button.
